Dear Friends of SLC,

I’m writing to share some exciting news about the future leadership at School for Little Children. My tenure as Director of SLC is coming to a close and I am proudly passing the baton to Chrissy Cornell as we start our next school year. This is good news for everyone, especially me, since I will assume a new role at SLC as a Strategic Consultant and Mentor. In recent years, SLC’s Governing Board has placed a lot of emphasis on our Strategic Plan and its components of deepening our understanding of quality early education as well as increasing community engagement. As we open in 2015/2016, Chrissy will be the new full time SLC Director and I will be behind the scenes supporting her with the transition and moving the school forward in achieving strategic goals.

Most of you know how proud and protective I am of SLC! That is why I am so thrilled and pleased to know the school will be in excellent hands as we look to the future. Chrissy has outstanding qualifications, a broad experience base, and most importantly, a strong commitment to all of you and to SLC.

It has been an honor and a privilege to serve as the leader of this school and it is an experience that I will always cherish. I hope my contribution to our school’s success over the last 14 years is equal to all that SLC, as well as all of you, have added to my own personal and professional growth. I thank each one of you for your support over the years.

This is not Goodbye!

Warmly,
Carol
