Kindergarten

Kindergarten 2023-2024

A Continuation of SLC’s Mission

The Kindergarten class offers a continuation of our teaching philosophy for children who turn five by September 1st. Through our research-based curriculum, the Creative Curriculum, children learn through PLAY and in the context of RELATIONSHIPS.

With their teachers as guides, children will have the opportunity to discover, problem solve, and acquire new skills through activities that take into consideration their developmental strengths, needs and interests

Curriculum & Assessment

The Creative Curriculum for Kindergarten nurtures the “whole child”, focusing on learning outcomes in the areas of: Literacy, Math, Science, Social Studies, SEL & the Arts. Through the 38 learning objectives, which are aligned with state early learning guidelines and the Head Start Early Learning Outcomes framework, children’s growth and development is assessed on a continuous basis.
