Parent Involvement
Volunteering provides parents an opportunity to get to know SLC staff, make new friends, and to share talents and ideas. Getting involved at SLC helps guide the overall operation of the school.
Parent Committee
SLC’s parent committee is currently comprised of 19 parent volunteers who oversee fundraising and special events for the school. Parent Committee meetings take place once a month at the school. Positions on the committee are related to community outreach, hospitality, fundraising events, and communications.
Governing Board
Members of the Governing Board help guide the school by overseeing its budget and policies. Meetings take place once a month in the evening. There are 11 positions on the Governing Board.

Room Parent
Room Parents play a vital role in our classrooms by providing support to teachers, building classroom community, and assisting with fundraisers.
Classroom Volunteer
Parents are welcome to visit the classroom to read a book, share a special talent or tradition, lead an activity, or simply spend some time.
