Parent Involvement
Volunteering offers parents a wonderful opportunity to connect with SLC staff, meet new friends, and share their talents and ideas. Being involved at SLC plays a key role in supporting the school’s overall operation and enhancing the community experience.
Parent Committee
SLC’s parent committee is currently comprised of 10 parent volunteers who oversee fundraising and special events for the school. Parent Committee meetings take place once a month either in person or virtually. Positions on the committee are related to community outreach, hospitality, fundraising events, and communications.
Governing Board
Members of the Governing Board help guide the school by overseeing its budget and policies. Meetings take place once a month in the evening. There are 11 positions on the Governing Board.

Classroom Connector
Room Parents, a.k.a. Classroom Connectors, play a vital role in our classrooms by providing support to teachers, building classroom community, and assisting with fundraisers.
Classroom Volunteer
Parents are welcome to visit the classroom to read a book, share a special talent or tradition, lead an activity, or simply spend some time.
